I am currently in the BA/MA in Communication program here at UCCS. I am pursuing my Bachelors and my Master’s degree in Communication Media Studies. My work heavily resides in feminist study. I knew that after I received my bachelors, I would want to continue my education into a Master’s degree; however, I never imagined that I would be able to do both. Outside of school, I work as a bartender at On the Border. I have met extraordinary people who support me in my school endeavors. I have also been lucky enough to have an outstanding support system of colleagues and professors here at UCCS, without their continuing support I would not be the student I am today. After I receive my Masters, I hope to produce an impressive thesis in order to get into a Ph.D program. After that, my dream is to be a professor and to be able to inspire students in the way I have been by my professors. My experience at UCCS has turned into a journey I never thought possible, and I could not be more thankful.
