Policies & Procedures
Graduate Faculty Appointments
For students to receive graduate credit, instructors must have an active appointment to the graduate faculty. Tenured, tenure-track, and clinical faculty may serve in regular appointments. Special appointments may be made for periods up to three (3) years and only for specific assignments related to specific expertise.

Admissions Resources
- Decision Sheets and Student Update Forms are completed in OnBase. Detailed OnBase Instructions HERE.
- Provisional Admissions: If admitting a student provisionally, ensure the provisions are consistent with the provisions given to other students in similar situations, and ensure the provisional requirements and time frames are clearly stated.
- Change from Provisional Status Form (when changing to regular status or dismissal)
- To request a change to the provisions assigned to a student, send a memo requesting the changes to graddocs@uccs.edu via AdobeSign.
- Accelerated Master's Pathway (AMP): The Accelerated Master’s Pathway (previously known as "Accelerated Master's Program), otherwise known as “AMP” allows high achieving students, currently enrolled at UCCS, the opportunity to pursue existing Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in an accelerated manner for participating UCCS graduate programs. AMP allows students to take graduate level courses, which will count towards graduation requirements for both their Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.
- Streamlined Admissions: The Streamlined Application is designed to offer outstanding UCCS students and alumni an expedited application to graduate school in participating programs.
- Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP): WRGP allows master’s, graduate certificate, and doctoral students who are residents of any of the participating WICHE states the opportunity to pay a reduced tuition rate which is currently equal to in-state tuition. Not every UCCS graduate program participates in WRGP; see WRGP page for details.

Leave of Absence
Student Leave of Absence Request: after program approval, submit to graddocs@uccs.edu via AdobeSign.
Reactivation
Graduate Student Reactivation Request Form: used to reactivate a student who has been inactivated (usually due to three terms of non-enrollment). If desired, graduate programs may request a reactivation instead of requiring the student to reapply to the program. The form is initiated by the academic department and then routes to the Graduate School, then the student, then the Registrar for processing.
